Extrusion

The first step involves extrusion, where a mix of pure ingredients ; polypropylene granules, UV Master Batch, calcium carbonate, and sometimes colour pigment is melted and shaped into tapes in an Extrusion plant. During this process, the tensile durability of the tapes is checked.

The yarns are furnaced at 160-165 degrees and passed through hot oil cylinders (to gain resistance) before passing through the cooling cylinders and reaching the quality control stage. After width, resistance, denier controls are carried out, the approved yarns are reeled.

The yarns are reeled on bobbins which are stored and later loaded onto looms for weaving.Depending on the requirements of a customer, the weaved fabric may be laminated with a semi-clear PP film that is bonded to the woven material to create a moisture barrier.
